Rhythm 21 Black Tea
Tasting Nodes: Caramel, Black Cherry, Buckwheat, Oak, Toasted Almonds
One of the newer kids on the block, Rhythm 21 was first developed in 2008 by hybridizing together the Keemun (China) with the Kyang (Nepal) cultivar to create its own. This tea is one of our new favorites as farmers are beginning to pick up its production. It has a star bright red orange color and is slightly sweet in taste. Fragrances from this tea include honey, floral and some grapefruit. It is an incredibly complex and fragrant tea for all to enjoy.
Nantou County is located in the center of Taiwan and is the largest Tea growing and production region in the country. The amount of tea exported from this region is estimated to roughly be over 12,000 tons per year and is said to represent over two-thirds of the entire tea output in Taiwan.
